Red Hat Ladies Celebrate at Talus Rock Retreat! Oh My!

redhatladies9 redhat-ladies3This colorful energetic uplifting and unique group of ladies chose Talus Rock Retreat recently as the place to honor one of their former members. We were given the great opportunity of hosting these lovely ladies who call themselves “The Sassy Ladies” Chapter of Clark Fork and Hope, ID. The group bid and won a donated room to Life Skills of Northwest in March of this year. Life Skills NW (http://lifeskillsnw.org/) teaches adults and teen clients to master their life relationships by learning advanced interpersonal skills. They believe JOY is found in healthy relationships and what this group was fit to win!

What better group of ladies to honour this crede than The Red Hat Society! (http://redhatsociety.com/about) – a playgroup for women created to connect like-minded women, make new friends, and enrich lives through the power of fun and friendship! “We wholeheartedly promote periods of “recess” from the cares and duties of everyday life in which Hatters gather for no other purpose than to play”.

This jovial group of ladies spent over three hours laughing and offering appreciation to each other. We could hear their delightful giggles and belly laughter coming from the floor below us.

The ladies performed a ‘passing of the trophy’ to new Queen “Chris” Boward in lieu of the passing of fellow sister and Queen since 2008, Billie Presley.

They may be all about “play”, but we witnessed first hand the genuine hearts and souls of these women who care deeply about one-another the and world they live in….“but we cannot discredit the deeper, more meaningful benefits of RHS Membership – powerful interpersonal connections and emotional support systems built among Sisters both on and offline. We support one another in every life stage from all corners of the globe! We are reshaping the way women are viewed in today’s culture by promoting, not only fun and friendship, but freedom from stereotypes and fulfillment of goals and dreams. Fitness is the foundation on which we base healthy, rewarding lives. Red Hat Society naturally promotes positive ‘Hattitudes’!”

These ladies deserve a shout out for keepin’ it real and fun!
